Q: Are menu prices the same for both on site and off site events?
A: We pride ourselves on our affordable pricing, please add $3.00 p.p. to entree or buffet prices for off site catering, (this covers the added expense of our Catering Manager and staff, counting, cleaning and loading our catering vehicles with all the required equipment for each special event). Thank you.
Q: How much of a deposit or percentage of the event is due at the time of "booking" or reserving the date?
A: None, I find deposits to be unnecessary paperwork. It has been my experience, after catering literally thousands of weddings and private events over several decades, that if someone tells me they are getting married, "they are not lying!"
Q: Will you provide opportunities for tastings and private consultations?
A: Positively! Our tasting policy is this: We invite you to come to events we are catering, either in house or off site. You will be provided a series of dates and events we are catering within the time frame and dates you ask for (we also ensure that we let you know when we are in your area). You may come announced or unannounced, the choice is yours. For planning sessions, meetings and discussions, I will meet with you as much as you want or need.
Q: When do you need me to make my menu choices?
A: We need your menu choices the week of the event. I hear this question more often than any other. We let the customer wait until 4 days from the event to give me the "final count." This will save you a lot of money as you will not be paying or people not coming, as 4 days prior to the even you will have it "nailed down" pretty good. This also helps you to know that we order everything fresh, as we will not know your menu selections until just before your event.
Q: When do I need to tell you exactly how many guests will be attending for billing purposes?
A: The week of the event (four days) as all orders have to be placed by Tuesday for weekend deliveries.
Q: How do I actually "book" or "reserve" a date?
A: Simply call Chef Lloyd at 603.752.5517, 603.636.2959 or Email Me, and we will check on date availability. If it is open, I will send you a contract, in duplicate, that day You sign it and return it to me by mail and keep a copy for yourself. We even provide a self addressed stamped envelope. That's it, your date is reserved and your event "Booked." Remember...we suggest you call or email to check on availability as soon as you know your date of choice, as we book dates far in to the future.
Q: Do you provide references/testimonials?
A:Yes, we have hundreds of testimonials available, from The Governor of New Hampshire to our large Corporate Customers, some we've been serving for over 20 years. Additional references are available upon request.
What size parties / events do you cater?
A:Parties from as small as 30 to as many as you need. There is a nominal fee for events a long way from The Chalet.
